1/2 pound ground beef
1 small yellow onion, chopped
salt and pepper
1 tablespoon italian seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic, minced
1 cup cooked penne rigate
2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
reserve 1/4 cup pasta water
garnish with chopped parsley
Cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and reserve 1/4 cup pasta water.
In skillet over medium heat, add beef, onions,salt and pepper. Crumble meat as it cooks, cook until no longer pink.
Add tomato sauce, italian seasoning, garlic and reserve pasta water, stir in cooked pasta. Simmer on low heat about 15 minutes.
