Slaw Hamburger

This Slaw Hamburger might just be one of my favorites, next to a big juicy burger, especially a Mushroom Swiss Burger

You have to wrap your hands around this juicy burger topped with coleslaw. If you never had a Southern Style Burger, you really should try this easy recipe. So good! Fayetteville, Tennessee is the home of Slawburger Festival

Can it be that easy? Yes. Good food doesn't have to be complicated.

If desired, you can shred cabbage and carrots yourself instead of buying the bag. Get a small head of cabbage and 2 carrots, shred those up. Buying the bag is easier and takes less time.

Southern style burger.

Slaw Hamburger
Recipe by Christine Lamb @ Christine's Pantry - 2019

Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef
salt and pepper
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon minced onion
1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon montreal steak seasoning
1 - 16 oz package coleslaw mix shredded cabbage and carrots
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes
1 green onion, chopped

Directions:
In skillet heat 1 tablespoon olive oil over medium high heat. In a bowl, combine the first 6 ingredients. Mix the burger and form into 4 patties. Make patties thinner in center. Cook burgers 5 to 6 minutes on each side.

While burgers cook, make the coleslaw. In a bowl, combine package coleslaw, salt, black pepper, mayonnaise, parsley and green onion, stir well.

Place burgers on buns and top with coleslaw. Serve with potato chips or fries.

Until next time,
Christine
