Italian Sausage Stir Fry

Why order take out when you can save money and time by stir frying a few things from your frig and pantry. This delicious stir fry can be on the table in no time. 

Italian Sausage Stir Fry

Ingredients:
5 italian sausage links, cut into coins
1 package wel pac chow mein stir fry noodles
8 ounces mushrooms
1 - 8 oz can sliced water chestnuts, drain
1 teaspoon low sodium soy sauce
1 teaspoon ground ginger
1 white onion, rough chopped
1 green bell pepper, seeded and rough chop
salt and pepper
4 green onions, sliced, reserve handful for garnish
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup water

Directions:
Cook stir fry noodles according to package directions.

In a skillet, add just enough vegetable oil to cover bottom of skillet, heat over medium heat. Add italian sausage, until brown and cook through. Remove sausage from skillet and set aside. 

Add onions and bell pepper, salt, pepper and garlic powder. Stir and cook until vegetables are tender, about 4 to 5 minutes. Stir in mushrooms and water chestnuts.

Add soy sauce and ginger, stir well. Stir in water. Return sausage back to skillet. Simmer 4 to 5 minutes, stirring until mix well and heated through. Stir in green onions, reserve handful for garnish.
