Debo’s 2-Meat Tostadas

Think Colonial winding streets and old buildings that hide secrets of the past; here sits Cervecería Centro Americana Brewery set in the heart of Guatemala City.

Established since 1886, through democratic ruling, military juntas and most recently the Guatemalan Civil War this brewery still stands and is well noted in Central America for its beers and lagers. It is from here "Cerveza Monterrey" was born.

Beer in Central America has a long history dating back to pre Spanish conquest in the 16th Century with the introduction of corn beers. Since then beers circulating around this region have come on leaps and bounds to produce some of the top selling beers in the world.

Monterrey is no exception to that group. Exclusive to LWC Ltd it is set to rival Sol and Corona Extra. Monterrey offers a new and refreshing outlook to cervezas, one that offers a point of difference for people who seek the alternative.

Tread through the Californian bars and Monterrey is the key drink of choice; loved by California's elite and fun loving party goers.

Ingredients:
1 pound ground turkey
1 pound ground pork sausage
1 (16 oz.) can refried beans
10 corn tostadas
2 packages dry taco seasoning mix
(12 oz.) bottle beer (we used Cerveza Monterrey)
1 onion, chopped
fresh deli guacamole
cheddar cheese
feta cheese

Directions:
In large skillet, over medium heat, add meat and beer, break meat up, cook until no longer pink. Add onions, taco seasoning and refried beans, stir well. Cook until liquid has reduced.

To build, place tostadas on dinner plate, sprinkle cheddar cheese, then add spoonful of meat mixture, top with feta cheese and guacamole. Then lightly sprinkle cheddar cheese. Enjoy!
