7 Questions with Claudia Lamascolo - Blogger Interview

Welcome to another edition interview with a food blogger. Today we're chatting with the Claudia, the lovely lady behind the great blog, What's Cooking Italian Style Cuisine

What inspired you to start blogging?
My kids loved my cooking, they kept asking for recipes so I was inspired to make a cookbook and blog with my mom's and grandmothers recipes.

You worked long hours as a store manager for Sears, how did you motivate yourself to keep the blog up and running?
This was relaxing for me after a 10 hour day to blog about my passion which is creating and recreating recipes we love in our family.

In future where do you hope your blog will take you?
Well since I now have recently lost my job after 31 years, this will be my main focus. I want to write and create recipes that will inspire more viewers to visit my blog with what they like.

Did you design your blog or did you get help?
I did design my blog and also had Tammy Pappas to implement placement and a face lift recently.

Would you encourage other people to start a blog?
Most of what the viewers want now is video. I am not sure with the saturation of bloggers it's a financial endeavor, more of a hobby. But yes it's very satisfying as a hobby.

Where do you get your ideas for creating recipes?
My mother, grandmother's and several cookbooks over the year.

Can you tell our readers about your cookbook?
My cookbook is made with simple ingredients, most of my recipe were developed in the depression years. My mom and grandmother Italian heritage inspired my cookbook and all their recipes. Each one was unique in how they would prepare the dish because of the Regions they were from, Bari and Rome. The cookbook was something I wanted to hand down to my children and their children. The memory of my mom and grandmother are always with me in the kitchen when I cook. I want them to remember me the same way.
